Bike rental service coordinator
For our growing activities in Mallorca, we are looking for a Bike rental service coordinator
Do you like structure, cycling, and satisfied guests?
You will coordinate the bike rental and be the first point of contact for guests when delivering and collecting rented bikes. You maintain an overview and ensure structure and order in the bike rental area and workshop. Based on reservations and bookings, you draw up the schedule for adjusting and preparing the bikes and instruct the mechanics accordingly. You are responsible for the day-to-day management of the mechanics, bike cleaners, and interns. Together with the mechanics/bike cleaners, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the bike fleet. You will keep track of stocks (bike parts, sports drinks, and nutrition). You will work in accordance with the established guidelines and monitor and maintain the digital planning system.
You are jointly responsible for a good team spirit and contribute to a good working atmosphere. You monitor the organizational culture and are open to feedback from both guests and employees.
You will also have weekly meetings with your fellow coordinators. In addition to these main activities, you will assist with recruitment and selection and be available for ad hoc tasks as mutually agreed.
Tasks and responsibilities
- First point of contact for guests regarding bike rental
- Management and coordination of the planning, preparation, distribution, and return of rental bikes
- Supervision and motivation of workshop staff (mechanics and bike cleaners)
- Responsible for the quality of the bikes that are issued
- Responsible for overview, structure, and order in the bike rental area and workshop
- Responsible for the maintenance of the bike fleet
- Responsible for supplies (bike parts, sports drinks, and nutrition)
- Responsible for correct processing in the rental software
- Collaborating with other departments within the organization to create synergy and promote operational efficiency
Profile
- MBO+ working and thinking level (Netherlands)
- HBO5/graduate degree (Belgium)
- Experience in logistics and affinity with planning is an advantage
- Strong communication skills
- Flexible, stress-resistant, team player
- Extensive knowledge of bicycle mechanics
- Proactive attitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused and striving for high service and quality
- Language skills: Dutch, German, English Spanish is an advantage
- Hands-on mentality, flexible, team player
- Affinity with the travel industry and bicycles
- Willing to live and work in Mallorca
- You have a driver’s license
